Hi there! Here follows a small sumary of the beginning of our trip to the South West of the United States, this post is for everybody but more particularly to our possible english readers ;)
We are already at our 5th day in California and the time is running really too fast … the days seem to disappear like by magic. San Francisco is a Great City even if the weather is not always the more welcoming, we have walked a lot and the famous « streets of San Franciso » are well like those we were used to see in the old TV Shows like Starsky & Huch and all the other movies … you have very often the feeling to make some climbing instead of simply walking :).
We had a very good time in the city because of the city itself but also for all the great encounters we have made (or friends we saw again after a very long time) and for this the hostel is the main responsible! Indeed the « USA Hostel » on Post Street is really to be advised to anyone who want to discover SF and make great meetings.
Thanks to Tascha the guide of the hostel who made us know the most parts of SF by a funny walk through Union Square, China Town, the Coit Tower, the pear, … and permit us also to meet a very sympathic group of german people ! Special thought to them who should be currently in their bus getting them to Los Angeles, kisses to the girls ;)
« Hello » also to the other people we met at the hostel, in the bars or at the touristic spots, to the french, brazilian, english, australian, german (a lot of them ;)) [I'll only remove from my hello 2 spanish guys… mmm not sure they were spanish by the way ;)]
Alcatraz was a great time and definitly merits the visit ! (with a sunny sky it's terrible!), Alamo Square with its Victorian houses will make you remember a lot of movies, China Town will make you feel to be on another continent, visiting the AT&T Park with put you in the shoes of a true american and going to Castro will give you a really « gay » evening ;)
It's over for San Francisco, goodbye California (but we'll be back :)) and go go go to the Nevada :)
